So I read Todd Sprague's "New Zed Order" a few years back and it was downright horrendous. When I saw that he had published this a while back I decided I would give him another shot, see if his skills had improved.Well right away I can tell that the author knows what he is talking about when it comes to survival and being prepared. However the info that is in this book is stuff that is common sense that anyone would know to pack during an emergency. Food & water 3-5 day supply, clothes, map, compass, cash, phone, charger, weapon for protection, rain gear, medicine, etc. All these are important for survival. But all this is supposed to fit into one backpack or duffel bag? For someone to carry all this it seems like you'd need a huge backpack like you take when you are going backpacking for a month across Europe and that's not really gonna be very inconspicuous.

A few days ago I stated that half the book was missing, well it wasn't an issue with the book, it was an issue with my Kindle. So I am deleting my previous complaint and editing my rating of the book.

So something that I like about this guide that other guides don't mention is that it's good to bring something along for entertainment to keep your mind occupied. Which is a good idea. If you're on the move and in a dangerous situation, your brain needs to unwind and relieve stress. So it's a good idea to bring things like a book or two, or maybe even some travel size games.
It's not the best guide in the world, but it's very informative and it does what the title says, it helps you prepare a bug out bag. And that to me makes it worth reading.
